Pets' Rights

Guest Post: Elliot Harvey’s Natural Health Column:

I looked at the US Constitution and realized that pets need their own Constitutional Bill of Rights to uphold their pet rights.

Therefore; I am proposing that we enjoy our companionship with our four legged friends and enjoy a happy and healthy life together

Article 1- Pets will be treated with dignity and respect
Article 2- Pets will be fed healthy nutrition meals and clean water daily
Article 3- Pets will be allowed to be given proper medical care, including spay and neutering
Article 4- All pets shall enjoy walks, outdoor activities, car rides and rolling in the grass
Article 5- Pets shall be groomed
Article 6- Pets at rescue facilities shall be given the same care as adopted or bought pets
Article 7- No pet shall be inhumanely treated
Article 8- Pets have the right to unconditional love
Article 9- Pets have the right to obtain full family status with all the benefits of being a family member
Article 10- Pets have the right to be socialized so they do not become aggressive, depressed or frightful
Article 11- Pets have the right to be shown and /or trained in a humane way to teach them rules and regulations
Article 12- Pets have the right to age graciously and be taken care of and die with dignity
Article 13- In a time of disaster, Pets will be evacuated with family members and kept safe from harm

You are so right, this needs to me implemented. Pets deserve the dignity to live out the best life possible without harm to them.
