I looked at the US Constitution and realized that pets need their own Constitutional Bill of Rights to uphold their pet rights.
Therefore; I am proposing that we enjoy our companionship with our four legged friends and enjoy a happy and healthy life together
Article 1- Pets will be treated with dignity and respect
Article 2- Pets will be fed healthy nutrition meals and clean water daily
Article 3- Pets will be allowed to be given proper medical care, including spay and neutering
Article 4- All pets shall enjoy walks, outdoor activities, car rides and rolling in the grass
Article 5- Pets shall be groomed
Article 6- Pets at rescue facilities shall be given the same care as adopted or bought pets
Article 7- No pet shall be inhumanely treated
Article 8- Pets have the right to unconditional love
Article 9- Pets have the right to obtain full family status with all the benefits of being a family member
Article 10- Pets have the right to be socialized so they do not become aggressive, depressed or frightful
Article 11- Pets have the right to be shown and /or trained in a humane way to teach them rules and regulations
Article 12- Pets have the right to age graciously and be taken care of and die with dignity
Article 13- In a time of disaster, Pets will be evacuated with family members and kept safe from harm
Article 14- Pets will not be rejected if they do not come up to expectations for winning awards, breeding or any other unfair expectation
Article 15- Pets shall have quality sleeping quarters
It is our responsibility to abide by these Bill of Rights. Your pet can be your best friend and should be treated as such.
